Revision as of 04:43, 4 April 2023

As BurstNibbler is a copy program its use is limited in an emulated environment. It only gets useful again if running from a real floppy disk on a real C64/C128 system. Thus either a G64 is written back with a specialized hardware to a disk or a 1541 Ultimate is used with a real C64 that is able to mount a G64 image in a virtual 1541 drive.

Tools

Template file for G64Conv to convert a D64 BurstNibbler image to a G64 image. The copy protection is reconstructed by applying the template file.

File:Bnib-ultimate.txt

Example command to apply template:

g64conv bnib-ultimate.txt bnib18.g64 bnib18.reconstructed-from-bn15.d64

Track 10 for reconstruction was taken from BurstNibbler 1.5 source.
